How product is made
We buy coffee beans directly from the farmers in Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Peru and Colombia. Because we trade directly, we are able to pay the farmer a real fair price.
At Gosling Coffee, we think it is important that farmers earn a living income with their coffee. By paying this fair price, we step up to the Fairtrade price ($1.40 per lbs + $0.20 premium) that only covers the cost of growing coffee. The C-market price depends on the fluctuations and vagaries of the New York market. In May 2019 the coffee price had reached an all-time low of $0.87 per lbs. In May 2020 the price touched $1.03 per lbs. The price we paid for the 2019-2020 harvest is $2.50 per lbs. After purchasing we arrange the transport to Amsterdam and roast the coffee beans in our roastery. This way, we are able to make the coffee value chain shorter, sustainable and more transparent.

Uganda Kasese
The first coffee we bought by ourselves was from Kilembe washing station in Uganda. The farmers that supply this washing station, as well as the washing station itselve, have suffered a lot. During spring of 2020 river Nyamwamba washed away most of their land and sheds. Despite the many misfortunes, we work with this group for a long time and support them wherever we can. Luckily, they now have found a new piece of land to build up their operations. To cover those costs and the equipment like drying beds, we have given them a loan for 5 years. This way they can build their own facility and the quality of their coffee will increase even more. In collaboration with Rwandaro cooperative, this coffee finally arrived at our roastery again. This way we can keep purchasing their amazing coffee from a stunning environment. Would you like to experience Uganda yourself? You can!

Delivery time and shipping costs
We do our best to deliver the order to you as soon as possible. Orders placed on working days before 4:00 PM, we try to ship the same day. However, we are not always able to fulfill this, sometimes products are not in stock and the delivery of your order may take a little longer. There is an indication of the delivery time on the product page. If for whatever reason we cannot meet this delivery time, we will of course inform you as soon as possible.
The stated prices do not include shipping costs. The shipping costs are:

Delivery is via PostNL. In general, the delivery will take place the next working day between 9:00 and 18:00. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the time of delivery.

It may happen that you want to return an order. Perhaps because you do not like the product or perhaps there is another reason why you would not want the order. Whatever the reason, you have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason.

If you make use of your right of withdrawal, the product will be returned to us with all accessories supplied and – if reasonably possible – in its original condition and packaging. We will then refund the order amount due within 14 days after registration of your return, provided the product has already been returned in good order.
If the product is damaged or the packaging is damaged more than is necessary to try the product, we can pass on this depreciation of the product to you. So handle the product with care and make sure that it is well packed when returning.
