All Vatn soaps are plastic-free, plant-based, and handmade making every soap bar unique varying in design and weight, while carefully selected organic*, plant-based ingredients have a skin-nourishing and regenerative effect. A recycled paper packaging has an environmental fact written related to the soap theme. Vatn soaps are not tested on animals nor contain any animal-origin ingredients.

Water is the element connecting Lopapeysa, Reynisfjara, and Sund soap bars through design representing sea, glaciers, and snow. In terms of water resources, Iceland is among the richest countries in the world.

How product is made

Soypa soaps include the plant-based ingredients, the design, and the story behind each product. The formula is based on:

  • 7 plant oils (coconut, olive, sweet almond, apricot, sunflower, castor oil, shea butter)
  • Icelandic sea salt from Westfjords
  • mineral and plant-based pigments (kaolin and Moroccan clays, natural indigo powder, ethically sourced mica)
  • a mix of 3 different essential oils in each soap

To make Soypa soaps, we use the cold process soap-making technique in which saponification is induced by mixing lye solution with oils.

Lopapeysa: Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil*, Citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil*, Pogostemon cablin oil*, Indigofera tinctoria (indigo) powder, Charcoal powder, linalool**, geraniol**, limonene**
Reynisfjara: Salvia sclarea (clary) oil, Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil*, Juniperus virginiana cedarwood oil*, Charcoal powder, Mica (CI77019, CI 77891, CI 77007), linalool**, geraniol**, limonene**
Sund: Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) flower oil, Juniperus virginiana cedarwood oil*, Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil*, Indigofera tinctoria (indigo) powder, linalool**, geraniol**, limonene**

Shipping Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging, You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Exceptions / non-returnable items:
Certain types of items cannot be returned from personal care goods (such as soap products). Only products which are wrongly shipped by Soypa or damaged upon arrival can be returned.

Exchanges:
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
